San Telmo 090320

The San Telmo collection is a series of abstract furniture pieces made from sand castbronze and aluminium. These objects are a direct response to living in the San Temlo district of Buenos Aires, and were conceived as a form of ‘side hustle’ intended to be created within 48 hours, using the basic tools available in the residency apartment.

Polystyrene sheets were bought at a nearby store in the morning, taken by foot back to the apartment, and built in the evening using only glue, tape and a knife. The finished objects in polystyrene were then collected in the morning, and taken to a nearby foundry to be sand cast.
